Rome (Italian and Latin: Roma [ˈroːma] (About this soundlisten)) is the capital city and a special comune of Italy (named Comune di Roma Capitale), as well as the capital of the Lazio region. The city has been a major human settlement for almost three millennia. With 2,860,009 residents in 1,285 km2 (496.1 sq mi), it is also the country's most populated comune. Rome's history spans 28 centuries. While Roman mythology dates the founding of Rome at around 753 BC, the site has been inhabited for much longer, making it one of the oldest continuously occupied cities in Europe. The city's early population originated from a mix of Latins, Etruscans, and Sabines. Eventually, the city successively became the capital of the Roman Kingdom, the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire, and is regarded by many as the first ever Imperial city and metropolis.

Kirigami (切り紙) is a variation of origami that includes cutting of the paper, rather than solely folding the paper as is the case with origami, but typically does not use glue.
In the United States, the term "Kirigami" was coined by Florence Temko from Japanese kiri "cut," kami "paper", in the title of her 1962 book, Kirigami, the Creative Art of Papercutting. The book was so successful that the word kirigami was accepted as the western name for the art of paper cutting.
Typically, kirigami starts with a folded base, which is then unfolded; cuts are then opened and flattened to make the finished kirigami. Simple Kirigami are usually symmetrical, such as snowflakes, pentagrams, or orchid blossoms. A difference between Kirigami and the art of "full base", or 180 degree opening structures, is that Kirigami is made out of a single piece of paper that has then been cut.
Origamic architecture is a form of kirigami that involves the three-dimensional reproduction of architecture and monuments, on various scales, using cut-out and folded paper, usually thin paperboard. Visually, these creations are comparable to intricate 'pop-ups', indeed, some works are deliberately engineered to possess 'pop-up'-like properties. However, origamic architecture tends to be cut out of a single sheet of paper, whereas most pop-ups involve two or more. To create the three-dimensional image out of the two-dimensional surface requires skill akin to that of an architect.

The development of origamic architecture began with Professor Masahiro Chatani's experiments with designing original and unique greeting cards. Japanese culture encourages the giving and receiving of cards for various special occasions and holidays, particularly Japanese New Year, and according to his own account, Professor Chatani personally felt that greeting cards were a significant form of connection and communication between people. He worried that in today's fast-paced modern world, the emotional connections called up and created by the exchange of greeting cards would become scarce.

The Pont Neuf (French pronunciation: [pɔ̃ nœf], "New Bridge") is the oldest standing bridge across the river Seine in Paris, France. It stands by the western (downstream) point of the Île de la Cité, the island in the middle of the river that was, between 250 and 225 BC, the birthplace of Paris, then known as Lutetia and, during the medieval period, the heart of the city.
The bridge is composed of two separate spans, one of five arches joining the left bank to the Île de la Cité, another of seven joining the island to the right bank. Old engraved maps of Paris show that the newly built bridge just grazed the downstream tip of the Île de la Cité; since then, the natural sandbar building of a mid-river island, aided by stone-faced embankments called quais, has extended the island. Today the tip of the island is the location of the Square du Vert-Galant, a small public park named in honour of Henry IV, nicknamed the "Green Gallant".
The name Pont Neuf was given to distinguish it from older bridges that were lined on both sides with houses. It has remained after all of those were replaced. Despite its name, it is now the oldest bridge in Paris crossing the Seine. It has been listed since 1889 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.

宜蘭秘境!天狗溪噴泉每10分鐘噴發壯闊噴發10公尺高奇景
宜蘭秘境!天狗溪噴泉每10分鐘噴發壯闊噴發10公尺高奇景
天狗溪噴泉原是中研院地熱探勘井,封井後年久失修,原有管線成了噴泉,約10分鐘噴發一次,水中帶有硫磺味,噴泉高逾10公尺。
宜蘭縣大同鄉山林資源豐富,除了太平山外,更有擁有豐沛的地熱資源,在俗稱「天狗溪」的田古爾溪畔,有著一座神奇噴泉,每10分鐘噴發一次,噴泉高度可噴逾10公尺,因所在地路途遙遠,平時人煙罕至,人車均不易到達,過去僅有當地居民及少數玩家能看到這絕美景致,因此也被稱為「宜蘭最後的秘境」。直至近來天狗溪噴泉才漸為人知,遊客趨之若鶩。
天狗溪噴泉位在宜蘭縣大同鄉田古爾溪上游,大同鄉太平村長李銘宜說,蘭陽溪上游的田古爾溪,昔日因水中含大量黑色砂石,當地居民稱為「黑土水」,而日治時期,當地舊稱「天狗」,也被稱為「天狗溪」,此外一旁有著黃色溪水的多望溪,居民則稱之為「滷肉溪」。
天狗溪噴泉原是過去中央研究院的地熱探勘井之一,宜蘭擁有豐沛的地熱資源,昔日中研院欲利用地熱發電,在地熱露頭的清水溪、田古爾溪及多望溪等地都曾鑽鑿探勘井,由於當年技術問題,地熱發電成本高且不符效益,最後封井,管線因年久失修毀壞,原有的鑽鑿井因熱氣聚集後,帶有高熱的水就會從管線中噴出而形成噴泉。
當地並無道路可直接到達,一般山野玩家都是以四輪傳動的車輛,沿田古爾溪溪床而上,抵達噴泉處露營,但因溯溪有一定風險性,且山區時常有突然暴雨,發現溪水暴漲時已難後撤,過去曾有10多輛四輪傳動車在此露營被暴漲溪水困住,因此並不建議民眾駕車進入,另有部分民眾會由太平山國家森林遊樂區內的太平林道支線進入。
因台灣積極進行綠能發電,近來中油公司除在鳩之澤溫泉(昔仁澤溫泉)設置多口地熱井外,更在天狗溪噴泉旁,建置一處工作站,打算另鑿新井並用於發電,未來若鑽探成功,有發電效益,將交由台電進行發電,目前已在施工,施工車輛多由狹窄林道進出,遊客無法從林道支線進入。
因當地有地熱溫泉脈,過去曾有鑽探井,雖已荒廢,但管線內的溫泉依舊存在,而熱能在管線內蓄積後,約1、20分鐘就會噴發一次,約噴1分多鐘,高溫泉水帶有硫磺味,觸感滑溜,而噴泉高逾10公尺,景致相當壯觀。
原本當地並沒有太多人知曉,也無道路可直接到達,人煙十分罕至,屬於宜蘭的私房景點,但近來陸續有山野玩家發現後,就將天狗溪噴泉訊息PO上網,民眾聞訊後紛紛湧至,甚至還有學生揪團到噴泉旁的溪床露營、泡湯,享受這天然景致。
羅東林區管理處提醒,該噴泉屬林管處管轄的國有林班地,且位在行水區上,並非森林遊樂區範圍,也非公告的遊憩區,尤其山區瞬間強降雨常造成溪水暴漲,且地熱露頭水溫高,常有間歇激烈噴發,呼籲遊客勿前往、靠近或從事遊憩活動,以免發生危險。

Kirigami (切り紙) is a variation of origami that includes cutting of the paper, rather than solely folding the paper as is the case with origami, but typically does not use glue.
In the United States, the term "Kirigami" was coined by Florence Temko from Japanese kiri "cut," kami "paper", in the title of her 1962 book, Kirigami, the Creative Art of Papercutting. The book was so successful that the word kirigami was accepted as the western name for the art of paper cutting.
Typically, kirigami starts with a folded base, which is then unfolded; cuts are then opened and flattened to make the finished kirigami. Simple Kirigami are usually symmetrical, such as snowflakes, pentagrams, or orchid blossoms.
Geometry (geometric) is a branch of mathematics concerned with questions of shape, size, relative position of figures, and the properties of space. A mathematician who works in the field of geometry is called a geometer.
Geometry arose independently in a number of early cultures as a practical way for dealing with lengths, areas, and volumes. Origamic architecture is a form of kirigami that involves the three-dimensional reproduction of architecture and monuments, on various scales, using cut-out and folded paper, usually thin paperboard. Visually, these creations are comparable to intricate 'pop-ups', indeed, some works are deliberately engineered to possess 'pop-up'-like properties. However, origamic architecture tends to be cut out of a single sheet of paper, whereas most pop-ups involve two or more. To create the three-dimensional image out of the two-dimensional surface requires skill akin to that of an architect.

The development of origamic architecture began with Professor Masahiro Chatani's experiments with designing original and unique greeting cards. Japanese culture encourages the giving and receiving of cards for various special occasions and holidays, particularly Japanese New Year, and according to his own account, Professor Chatani personally felt that greeting cards were a significant form of connection and communication between people. He worried that in today's fast-paced modern world, the emotional connections called up and created by the exchange of greeting cards would become scarce.
